Lindsey S Wiser

I’m an astronomer and postdoctoral researcher studying the atmospheres of exoplanets, placing our Solar Sytem in a cosmic context. My research combines space telescope observations with atmosphere models to better understand the formation, evolution, and diversity of distant worlds. I’m particularly interested in how new telescopes and advances in modeling will improve our understanding. I earned a B.S. in Engineering Mechanics and Earth and Planetary Science from Johns Hopkins University and a Ph.D. in Astrophysics from Arizona State University.

I’m also passionate about preserving the space environment and the responsible use of space. I volunteer with the Space Generation Advisory Council as a Coordinator of the Space Generation Advocacy and Policy Platform, and serve on volunteer policy committees with the American Astronomical Society.

Beyond space, I love books, the outdoors, my cat, and collecting many new hobbies. I’m happiest when I’m learning something new.
